Round-table discussion on “The Kura River Basin: Linking Transboundary Projects to Local Implementation” with Mrs. Jeanene Mitchell

On September 22, 2015, Caspian Center for Energy and Environment (CCEE) of ADA University held a round-table discussion on “The Kura River Basin: Linking Transboundary Projects to Local Implementation” with Mrs. Jeanene Mitchell. Jeanene is a PhD student at the University of Washington specializing in the field of energy, water, and oceans policy in the South Caucasus andy Turkey. She is a visiting scholar at CCEE, and a Research Fellowship recipient from the American Research Institute of the South Caucasus (ARISC). During her presentation, she talked about water use management, pollution control and flood risk mitigation in the Kura Basin. Jeanine also talked about the work of development/donor organizations in facilitating a connection between transnational projects and local implementation. The event, attended by students, representatives of embassies, international development agencies and public sector, was followed by a lively discussion and Q&A session.
