ADA’s guest within the “Global Perspectives” Lecture Series was Mr. Ulrich Benterbusch, the Director of the Directorate of Global Energy Dialogue in International Energy Agency.
Mr. Benterbusch made a broad presentation about the key trends in global energy, that being CO2 emissions, energy efficiency of global economy and spending on oil imports. He also noted the great potential of the Caspian Region, in particular Azerbaijan, to practice efficient ways of energy use.
The lecture was moderated by Amb. Tedo Japaridze, Co-Director of the Center for Energy and Environment of ADA.
The lecture ended with a Q&A session, during which Mr. Benterbusch also described the role and the goals of the International Energy Agency.
